We produce both unfinished and finished cabinets. The cabinet with the chosen color makes it finished. Depending on the color, the price changes, you can find out about it on the Cabinets Customization page. We offer the following colors:
All of our cabinets come standard with furniture grade birch plywood interiors. If one or both of the sides will be exposed, you'll have a a couple of options to choose from. Both options below are offered for left, right or both sides of the cabinet.
Skin - This will include a 1/4" plywood Skin matched to the wood species you have selected for the cabinet. Once applied to the side of the cabinet, this makes the side flush.
Skin With Decor door - This option includes the 1/4" skin which extends to the floor plus a 3/4" decorative door. The decorative door stops short where the toe kick recess begins. We can modify the door panels upon request.
Glass doors will be frame only with clear tempered glass. The glass can be easily swapped with your favorite etched, frosted or bubble glass at your local glass shop. They'll have lots of options!
Cabinets over 24" wide come standard with Butt Doors. This term refers to two doors that close over one large opening meeting or butting up to each other in the middle. There will be a 1/8 gap between the doors to allow clearance for functionality. Our hidden hinges are 6-way adjustable so you can adjust the gap down to 3/32". You will see the option to add a 3" center style between the doors on double door cabinets.
Our shelves are 3/4" furniture grade pre-finished birch plywood with edge banding. All adjustable shelves are supported by metal shelf pegs with the peg holes spaced 1 1/2" along the walls so you can place them exactly where you want. Our Base cabinets come standard with a 1/2" depth (11 1/2") stationary shelf. This can be customized upon request.
Inset cabinets feature doors and drawer fronts that fit inside the openings created by the 1 1/2 in face frame, creating a timeless look with tight and consistent spacing and a flush cabinet front rather than a simple overlay hiding the fine wood that make up the stiles and rails of the cabinets. Inset cabinets are a hot trend and are growing in popularity. Due to
Classic or Standard overlay aka American style cabinets feature doors and drawer fronts that cover a 1/2" of the cabinet openings revealing a full inch of the cabinet face frame. Though still considered the industry standard today but it's no longer the most popular option.
Although it's known as Full Overlay don't expect the look of a frameless cabinet, it does provide clean lines with its flush doors and drawer fronts sitting on the face frame. The doors and drawer fronts cover the a full inch of the 1 1/2" cabinet leaving just 1/4" of the cabinet face frame revealed. This is by far the most popular overlay today.
Our standard recessed toe kick is 4 1/2" tall with a 3" setback. You will see the options for Flush Toe Kick, Routed Feet Overlay and Mock Feet when you're configuring your cabinets. Custom Toe Kick Options add 15% to the cabinet price.
Our cabinets are offered in all the standard sizes common to the Kitchen Cabinet Industry but since they are made to order we're happy to customize your cabinets for a perfect fit. Custom sizes do not affect the lead time!
Reducing any dimension is a no-charge customization. If you need to increase a dimension, you can do this for a 25% up charge up to 6 inches or a 50% upcharge up to 12". These increases are on the base price of the cabinet.
